Fave Hats, Condor Option
Просмотров 4,2 тыс.21 день назад
Some favorite hats are reviewed here. The Condor hat, in all its variations, has become a staple in our shooting and TNP adventures. They are well made, priced right, dry quickly when wet, have plastic bills, and breathe well. Several variations, listed below, are shown and all are highly rec'd. Also addressed is the reason there's currently now TNP hats now. Condor Men's Multicam Mesh back: am...
To Stop Not Kill: Umarex TR50
Просмотров 8 тыс.Месяц назад
This is the Umarex TR50. It can shoot .50 cal saboted steel balls at about 300 fps. They will hurt and dissuade most attackers. In this Nutnfancy review I'll introduce you to its ups and downs, how the curse of the desert affected it, and its potential. It is cost effective, expensive steel ammo not withstanding. Kydex holsters are available and I'll show you some other carry options as well. M...
Are Breitlings, TAG watches Worth Buying?

Any watch fan should enjoy this walk through of many things Breitling and then TAG Heuer. I'll cover their design aesthetic, talk about why their so expensive, mention the xlnt clones that are made, and tell you which are my fave models. I'll also show a lot of their ugly models and express shock at how people would buy them. This is video is meant for non TNP audiences too. Breitling Avenger w...
Beautiful High Value Fixed Blade: Hard Using the JEOTEC

I found this cool "Ponderosa" location while scouting for such on my KTM 1190. Here we have lots of standing dead wood to work on. Then we get busy what turns out to be a surprisingly competent fixed blade: The JeoTac, made in Spain. It presents like a very high quality knife costing way more than its humble pricing. Self Sufficiency: Nutnfancy Garden Part 1

Let's Garden Up in TNP! Mrs Nutnfancy, dogness, and I show you the results of my long planned project in the Project: our garden. Everything is a system here and everything has a POU. Not sure how many knife dudes will watch this but they should. Here's another fun TNP booth experience with another great hose. We focus on WE/Civivi Knives and do fly bys on many models. So size and weight are no konger a nutnfanxy talking point? Yup armor is good if you opponent is a good enough to hit it. Talking to guy who have been there and done the work even with plates getting shot is like getting hit full force with a sledgehammer Hopefully you dont get hit under, over or around the armor...

    • @jackjohnson291
      @jackjohnson291 4 дня назад

      Are you saying you* got shot? I must ask-by what exactly and what kind of armor? Also, was there considerable backface deformation, and was your carrier loose or tight? If mil, I’ve heard stories about the older plates leaving pretty nasty marks, but physics suggests that if it felt that way on the receiving end, it also felt that way in the shoulder of the one who fired it (assuming a shoulder fired weapon). I have some older rifles chambered in some pretty manly calibers that have zero padding on the stocks and even some with metal plates. While a long day on the range can definitely cause bruising, it’s never felt like getting hit in the shoulder by a sledgehammer (and the force is much more concentrated over a smaller area). I’m not doubting your claims, it’s just confusing to me. I’d like to understand the mechanics behind it. If it was soft armor, then that’d definitely make more sense.

    • @cccc7666
      @cccc7666 3 дня назад

      @@jackjohnson291 I never have been shot but guys I served with have. Plus you are counting on your attacker actually hitting you in center mass and not hit the 6 to 8 inches to the side of your plate not to mention above and below it. Does armor have a place yes but it does not replace the most important thing. Avoiding a fight if possible

    Everyone has different body types that fit them best and this plate carrier works for him. However there are better plate carriers out there that will fit you more comfortably. Anyone offering a 1 size fits all solution to a plate carrier usually means that they compromise in a lot of areas and this plate carrier is made for someone who will not do any fighting but requires protection in between transit.

    5.11 makes their gear for police. Police that have massive clothing and gear budgets they must burn every year to keep the budget flowing. So you get $80+ dollar pants that wear out inside of a few months from being worn in an office setting. Their plate carriers carry over their philosophy of break early to sustain annual fleecing of taxpayers. 5.11 is solidly the "prosumer" market. If you are just "playing around" well, have fun. If you are betting your life on it, get real tools. But let me ask you.. Who will draw more fire in a bad situation? Mr. Battle Rattle or mister "I got it, but I'm not showing you any of my cards".. Bullet protection is nice. Not getting targeted in the first place is a much better day. But what do I know, I just raise sheep on my little Texas ranch.

      I’m not a cop, and I have great distain for government waste. That out of the way-I own probably a couple dozen pairs of 5.11 Stryke pants. I also live and work on a small farm, and I’ve yet to tear a pair up. I still have the first pair I ever bought, some 11-12 years ago, and they’re hardly any worse for wear (color is faded, a few small holes from barb wire and what not, but that’s it). I haven’t had the need to buy a new pair in a long while, so I hope they haven’t cheaped out on quality like most companies have these days… sure would be a shame.

    • @centex7409
      @centex7409 3 дня назад

      @@jackjohnson291 That's the issue, the recent quality has disgustingly dropped. I as well have the Stryke in a few pairs. But due to a cancer fight, I had to buy some smaller ones in 2022. They didn't even last a full year under much lighter duty. They literally wore out in the crotch area from just walking. The material thin polyester. Purchased at the 5.11 store in Harker Heights Texas. So I went to a new feed and supply store called Murdoch's that opened recently in Killeen. Instead of $80 5.11's, I picked up some $40 MUCH heavier "firehose" material pants that are WAAAY better than anything's 5.11 carries. My youngest nephew is on Houston's SWAT, his wife a Harris County Detective. They gave me the inside scoop of the 5.11 reality.

Especially if you're in between seasons and you're wearing perf gloves, always keep a few pairs of nitrile gloves on the bike. Still maintains dexterity as well. Also a fan of the one piece moto rain suits (not frogg toggs). That paired with boot covers does a great job of keeping the rain out. Ride safe!

    Alternative opinion: Get a concealable soft armor vest, and a chest rig. That way you have the option of armor separate from your mags and more over gear. Wanna conceal carry armor during HPAC? You can. Wanna gear up for WROL? Put on a chest rig over your armor, and yes you can.

    Oh my god, I didn’t realize how long I’ve been watching TNP. The Glock gold standard videos are 16 years old?? Which means I was watching since I was 16 in high school as a sophomore at minimum 😮 Been carrying my glock 17 gen 4 since a couple months after I turned 18 (can conceal carry at 18 in Indiana) bought so many recommended guns g17, tokarev, sgl21 (sgl was my HS graduation present, I was an exceptionally well armed guy at 18 😂 ) sks, 10/22 mosin and yugo m24/47 (though I technically bought those before your videos came out on those) and many more. I’ve never been led wrong, truly appreciate it. Oh, I picked up a cz75 retro too, based on your review of the commie model 75 years ago, I will probably pick up one of those new CZ P07 nocturnes too. It would be my first pistol with an optic which seems to be a huge force multiplier from everything I’ve seen. Thank you for being such a big part of my education and to be honest, my life. My dad passed away when I was young, like 9 or 10. So you were definitely a bit of a father figure to me and probably many other young men. Anyways enough cringe posting for me.

    TNPer since 2008. I've got the integrity to admit that I'd fail, and it's my goal this year to address it. I've got enough gear to fully kit more people than is even practical. My own kit is mostly ready but mostly doesn't count. I need to get my mags filled and primary rifle zeroed to the 77gr I'm switching to. I'm just such a geardo that I'm constantly altering and playing around with new toys and I've neglected to really settle on a primary GTW setup and not friggin screw with it. It's time I "Suck Less".
